Tony Archbold departs HAL following Carnival Australia restructure

Tony Archbold, senior director of sales & marketing Australasia for the Holland America Group, has been made redundant as part of a Carnival Australia restructure.

Archbold launched Holland America Line’s dedicated office in Australia 11 years ago.

He also was responsible for Seabourn in Australia and New Zealand.

His team will now report to Ryan Taibel, VP sales & marketing P&O Cruises Australia and Cunard.

Significant contribution

‘Over the past 11 years, Tony made a significant contribution in successfully launching and embedding the two distinctive cruise lines under the Carnival Australia house of brands in this region, for which we thank him,’ a company statement said.

She has been the Australasia correspondent for Seatrade Cruise Review since 1997 and for Seatrade Insider (now Seatrade Cruise News) since its launch in 2000.
