Virgin Voyages expanded its North American sales footprint by hiring Sean Russo, based in the Toronto area, to oversee the entire Canadian sales territory.

He'll work closely with John Diorio, VP North American sales, to introduce travel advisors to the line.

'Virgin Voyages is a bold, inspiring brand that’s challenged the status quo and created an incredible experience that Canadian travel advisors and their clients should be eager to learn more about,' Russo said. He looks forward to growing his current network to 'showcase that cruising with Virgin Voyages is uniquely different and needs to be explored by cruisers and non-cruisers alike.'

Grew sales at Jobber and G Adventures

Russo joins from Jobber, where he was sales development manager, leading a team to optimize sales results, collaborating with the marketing, success and product departments, organizing sales training sessions, analyzing sales metrics and overseeing team forecasting.

Earlier, Russo spent 10 years with travel company G Adventures. Joining as a business development manager, he managed and expanded multiple territories across Ontario, participated in panels and global conferences and developed a brand ambassador training program. Promoted to national sales manager for Canada, he increased revenue, helped launch the global ChangeMakers conference and became a regular contributor to several Canadian travel trade publications.
