AIDAstella will sail from Palma tonight
AIDA Cruises' AIDAstella will sail from Palma on the evening of July 29 bound for Sardinia and the Italian mainland, with the line aiming to bring a total of 10 ships back into service this year, including newbuild AIDAcosma which is scheduled to make its inaugural voyage in December.

AIDAluna is scheduled to begin sailing from Kiel on Sept. 5, becoming the seventh ship in the AIDA Cruises fleet to resume service. AIDAmar departs from Hamburg on July 31.

10- and 11-day itineraries in the western Mediterranean

AIDAstella will embark on 10- and 11-day cruises in the western Med through to the end of October. The first itinerary will see the vessel sail Olbia, Naples, Civitavecchia, Livorno and Barcelona; future cruises call at additional ports on the Iberian Peninsular up to Cadiz.

The turnaround port will be Palma de Majorca, which has good flight connections from several German airports.

Current response to the pandemic in Germany

Despite cases marginally increasing, the situation with COVID-19 in Germany is stable. However, the German government is planning on tightening testing requirements for returning holidaymakers from the beginning of August.

AIDA says its AIDAstella cruises are available from 799 per person in the AIDA Vario tariff, including flight transfers to and from Majorca.
