In 2026 Oceania Cruises will take travelers around the world in 180 days, for the first time on its new Vista, while Crystal Cruises plans a 135-day journey on Crystal Serenity.

As reported here, Oceania was contemplating deploying a newer, larger ship than its stalwart world cruiser, the 670-passenger Insignia, and that has come to pass. The 1,200-passenger Vista, built in 2023, will operate the circumnavigation, visiting 101 ports across 43 countries. Bookings open March 13.

PortMiami round-trip

Embarking from PortMiami on Jan. 6, 2026, Vista will begin with a six-week exploration of South America, fully charting the continent's Pacific coast before continuing to Mexico and California. Then the ship will island hop through the South Pacific and call at Australian ports such as the lesser-visited Whitsunday Islands. Vista will continue to Southeast Asia, India and then the Mediterranean, British Isles and Nordic region before crossing back to the US.

The voyage provides access to more than 80 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and includes 11 overnight port stays and a series of curated, complimentary special onshore events and optional multi-day overland programs.

From $59,699

Fares start at $59,699 per person for the French veranda stateroom category. The full 180-day cruise includes first-class round-trip airfare and transfers and amenities in the Exclusive Prestige Package such as free laundry service, a visa package, free Internet, pre-paid gratuities and luggage delivery, as well as inclusive 'simplyMORE' amenities such as an $8,800 shore excursion credit per stateroom and a comprehensive beverage package available during lunch and dinner.

Additional itinerary options

Besides the 180-day trip, Oceania is offering 'Global Wanderlust,' a 120-day voyage from San Diego to Miami, and 'World Odyssey,' a 197-day cruise from Los Angeles to Miami.

A brochure for the trio of world cruise options is available here.

Crystal Serenity

Crystal Serenity's 135-day world cruise will travel to 72 destinations in 27 countries, departing from Los Angeles on Jan. 11, 2026. Bookings open March 19, with a wait list now available.

The 740-passenger ship will first traverse the Pacific, visiting destinations in the Marquesas Islands, Bora Bora, New Zealand and Australia. Bali, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Dubai are next in the charts.

The voyage travels through the Mediterranean, including a stop in Monaco in time for the Grand Prix, before concluding at Civitavecchia (Rome) on May 26.

Starting at $84,000

Fares start at $84,000 per person, double occupancy. World cruise travelers will be invited to exclusive shoreside events and get a business class airfare allowance or credit, $1,500 shipboard credit, unlimited dining at Osteria d’Ovidio and Umi Uma(reservations required), private transfers, luggage valet and more.

Fernando Barroso de Oliveira, Crystal's brand ambassador, will be aboard, lending his expertise and guidance throughout the cruise.
