Carnival Pride's July 21 cruise from the Port of Dover was canceled but it may be possible to operate a shorter itinerary
Carnival Pride is in Kiel for repairs to a technical issue, and the July 21 nine-day cruise from Dover is canceled.

However, Carnival Cruise Line said it has a repair plan so the ship can return to Dover as quickly as possible, and it is hoped Carnival Pride will be able to sail a revised, shortened itinerary.

Charters to London

'We are operating charters to get current guests back to London for flights home and working with booked guests on their options,' the company said in a statement.

Carnival Pride had called in Kiel on Tuesday as scheduled and departed late afternoon bound for Gothenburg. But the ship lost speed and returned to Kiel Wednesday night.

Carnival Pride was on a 12-day Baltic cruise that embarked July 9 in Dover.
