Diamond Princess begins season of cruises from Singapore

Diamond Princess began a series of 10- to 14-day cruises from Singapore until March
Diamond Princess embarked on its seasonal Singapore program of 10- to 14-day cruises until March.

The ship arrived in Singapore from Japan.

The schedule includes two 10-day cruises that visit Koh Samui and Laem Chabang (Bangkok) in Thailand as well as Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City) and Da Nang in Vietnam. Revellers can celebrate Christmas Eve in Koh Samui on this cruise whilst Christmas Day will be spent at sea. For the next cruise departing on Dec. 26, passengers can celebrate New Year’s Eve in Ho Chi Minh City. 

Fourteen-day Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam cruises are scheduled in January and February. These travel along Straits of Melaka, visiting Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia, and Phuket in Thailand. After that, Diamond Princess will sail the South China Sea, visiting Koh Samui, Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang in Vietnam. 

Sembawang dry dock

The ship is scheduled for a dry dock at Singapore's Sembawang facility from late January to early February, a Princess spokesperson confirmed.

Resuming service with the Feb. 6 cruise, Diamond Princess will offer the opportunity to celebrate Chinese New Year on Feb. 10 and 11, in Penang and Port Klang, marking the start of the Year of the Dragon. On Valentine’s Day the ship will be at Nha Trang. 

Back to Japan

Diamond Princess will cap its Singapore season with a 13-day repositioning cruise from Singapore to Yokohama on March 5. The ship is set to arrive on March 18, in time for Japan’s cherry blossom season. 

Diamond Princess will sail in Japan through August 2024 on round-trips to 35 destinations in three countries on 31 unique itineraries with 36 departure dates. 

Other Love Boats in Singapore

Other Princess Cruises ships will also visit Singapore in 2024 and 2025.   

Coral Princess will sail a 33-day 'Southeast Asia, Hawaii and Pacific Crossing' cruise from Singapore to Los Angeles in October 2024, visiting Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Hawaii before arriving in Los Angeles. A 12-night segment from Singapore to Fremantle (Perth), Australia is also available.

Island Princess’ world cruise will visit Singapore on Feb. 29, 2024 from Australia, before continuing on to Dubai. An 11-day segment from Singapore to Dubai is available. Island Princess is scheduled to return to Singapore during its 2025 world cruise.  

One of the newest Princess ships, Discovery Princess, will be making its maiden Singapore call in October 2025 en route to Australia for its deployment Down Under.
