Regent Seven Seas Cruises created six 'immersive overnights' voyages with an extended stay at each port.

These voyages, currently on four ships, include special shoreside experiences to enhance the overnight calls.

Destinations featured in the 'immersive overnights' collection are the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Asia. All six sailings are included in Regent’s 'Upgrade Your Horizon' wave offer with a free two-category suite upgrade and low deposits.

'These extended overnight experiences will allow guests unparalleled immersion in a range of incredible global destinations from Incheon, South Korea; to Zadar, Croatia; to Stockholm, Sweden,' Regent President Andrea DeMarco said.

26 evening excursions

Twenty-six evening shore excursions created especially for Regent include an exploration of world-class art from the likes of Picasso, Rodin and Munch in the home of a Swedish prince; sunset wine-tasting at a Tuscan villa; and a Michelin star dinner in Athens.

These are just a few examples, with additional evening shore excursions and multi-night overland tours in Italy, Croatia, France, Greece, Germany and Finland to be announced soon.

Sample cruises and night tours

Among the 'immersive overnights' cruises is 'Adriatic Elegance' on Seven Seas Voyager, a 10-night sailing from Trieste to Piraeus departing Oct. 5. The ship overnights at Trieste, Zadar (Croatia) and Kotor (Montenegro) before spending two nights in Piraeus.

One of the evening excursions, 'Zadar Sunset Serenade,' has participants disembarking at the Sea Organ, marble steps that play harmonic sounds when seawater rushes through pipes fitted with whistles beneath the steps. This is adjacent to Greeting to the Sun, a solar-powered monument that creates an imaginative light show each evening. In the city center, portions of Roman-built fortified walls and an excavated forum whose construction started during the reign of Augustus, the first Roman emperor, are the setting for further exploration.

And 'Blossoms, Towers and Temples,' a 14-night cruise round-trip Tokyo on Seven Seas Explorer, overnights in Kobe (with access to Kyoto), Incheon (for Seoul), Shanghai and Tokyo.

The 'Seoul Night & Temple Cuisine' excursion includes Gwanghwamun Square, a public gathering place for centuries with statues of revered figures. A meal of dishes that originated in Buddhist temples will follow. The tour includes Dongdaemum Design Plaza and Sebit Islets, a floating cultural space that will look especially dramatic with its LED lights reflecting off the Hangang River.

Inclusive pricing

Many day and evening excursions are part of Regent’s free unlimited shore excursion program. Other inclusives are round-trip business-class air on intercontinental flights from the US and Canada, specialty dining, fine wines and spirits, in-suite liquor and mini bar replenished daily, unlimited internet access, valet laundry service, gratuities, transfers and a one-night, pre-cruise hotel package for travelers staying in concierge-level suites and higher.
