Royal Caribbean International's second Icon-class ship, Star of the Seas, is going to sail from Port Canaveral on its debut in summer 2025.

Royal Caribbean hasn't announced it yet, but the port confirmed the deployment.

'Tremendous news'

'This is tremendous news, and we are very proud to be the homeport for this remarkable new ship,' said Capt. John Murray, CEO, Port Canaveral. 'Star of the Seas will add even more excitement to the Royal Caribbean fleet that calls Port Canaveral home. We’re looking forward to her arrival in 2025 and will be ready to welcome her and the many cruise guests who will enjoy all that she has to offer.'

The announcement closely follows the delivery of Icon of the Seas, which is scheduled to debut at PortMiami in late January.

Star of the Seas' hull assembly is set to begin in December at Meyer Turku shipyard.
