Emerald Cruises, part of the Scenic Group, unveiled details of its new superyacht Kaia which will join Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara.

The 120-meter yacht will carry 128 passengers and is scheduled to enter service in April 2026, sailing to destinations from the Mediterranean to the Adriatic and Aegean Seas and the Seychelles Islands.

She is being built in the same shipyard as her fleet partners —the Halong Shipbuilding Company— and is 5,755 gt.

The news was announced Tuesday at Seatrade Cruise Global, and was the second ocean cruise ship order — following Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings' eight-vessel package— disclosed in two days.

The Sky Deck, which is the top deck, has been expanded, incorporating a new internal Sky Lounge and open-air private cabanas with expansive views.

The Observation Sun Deck on the bow will have a spa pool and sun lounges.

The cabins and suites are more spacious and there will be new connecting balcony suites on Deck 4.

Enhanced dining

Emerald Kaia will have enhanced dining with a large al fresco terrace at La Cucina restaurant, while a new Night Market will offer Asian-style grills for up to eight people, at an additional cost.

Otherwise all meals while cruising are included, plus complimentary all-day drinks, selected shore excursions, EmeraldPLUS cultural experiences, fitness-focused EmeraldACTIVE, Wi-Fi, airport transfers and gratuities.

Pivotal expansion

‘Emerald Kaia, with its significant design and amenity enhancements, marks a pivotal expansion for our fleet,’ chairman and founder of Scenic Group Glen Moroney said.

‘It builds on the strengths of Emerald Sakara and Emerald Azzurra, allowing us to offer unmatched superyacht experiences along the world’s most captivating coastlines,’ he added.

Bookings are open, with eight-day Adriatic cruises aboard Emerald Kaia costing from A$9,045 per passenger twin-share.
