Cruise Saudi partnering with half a dozen tech companies for Aroya Cruises project

Cruise Saudi listed six technology companies it will be working with as it develops Saudi Arabia’s first cruise line.

For its phase I of technology stack development for Aroya Cruises, Cruise Saudi will be partnering with Monitor Deloitte, Alibaba Cloud Saudi Arabia, theICEway, SourceToad, Otalio and Versonix Seaware, as part of its commitment to create a seamless passenger experience, from booking to the boarding process, and beyond.

SMC and Partner Ship Design are working with Cruise Saudi to redesign the ship and outfitting works will be carried out by MJM Marine and De Wave Group. 

Gebr. Heinemann has been selected as the exclusive retail operator. 

Data and digital strategy 

Monitor Deloitte will spearhead project management, weaving a data and digital strategy to ensure technological decisions are foresight driven. 

As a homegrown Saudi enterprise, Alibaba Cloud Saudi Arabia will be laying the digital foundation for Aroya Cruises, ensuring security, reliability, and swift digital interactions. 

theICEway is tasked with amalgamating Aroya’s diverse technological realms into a seamless and cohesive digital ecosystem, ensuring a smooth experience for passengers and crew.

Reservations and revenue management

Providing features for passengers, such as an interactive ship map, daily itineraries, and reservations for shore excursions, dining, and spa treatments, Sourcetoad's digital concierge is set to be the central hub of onboard connectivity and engagement. 

Alongside this, Otalio’s Ship Property Management System (SPMS) will enhance all facets of the onboard journey and provide passengers with curated experiences from the cabin to the deck. 

Versonix Seaware, known for its cruise focused reservation and revenue management capabilities, is set to provide an intuitive booking experience.
