He said Radiance of the Seas will kick off the 2018/19 season, which goes on sale in Australasia today, when she arrives in Sydney on October 6, 2018. Explorer of the Seas follows on October 27 and Ovation of the Seas returns for her third and longest season on November 2.
Together the three ships will offer 61 sailings, ranging from three to 23 nights, around and to nine different countries -- Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu, French Polynesia, Malaysia, New Caledonia, Singapore and the US.
Ovation of the Seas will sail exclusively from Sydney, offering a range of domestic Australian and New Zealand itineraries, while Radiance of the Seas will sail from Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.
Explorer of the Seas will be the largest cruise ship to call at Newcastle when she arrives there on February 10, 2019 during a six-night voyage that includes calls at Wollongong (Port Kembla) and Hobart. She will return again on February 16, 2019 during a 14-night South Pacific voyage.
Armstrong said the calls at Newcastle follow upgrades to the port, allowing megaships to berth in this gateway to the famous Hunter Valley vineyards.
Radiance of the Seas will make Royal Caribbean’s maiden departure from Melbourne on February 23, 2019 on a 10-night cruise to Sydney, Dunedin, Akaroa, Wellington, Picton and the breathtaking Milford Sound before arriving in Auckland.
