Cruise Lines International Association Australasia postponed Cruise360 2022 because of continued uncertainty around interstate and trans-Tasman travel.

The event would have been CLIA’s first regional in-person gathering since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and was scheduled for March 4 at the Hyatt Regency Sydney.

Attendees’ well-being

‘We have taken into account concerns around attendees’ well-being, the ongoing business impacts of the cruise suspension and current government restrictions on travel and events,’ MD Joel Katz said.

Katz said CLIA is working with Hyatt Regency Sydney to secure a new date and will advise all sponsors and ticket holders as soon as possible.

He said existing Cruise360 registrations will automatically be transferred to the new date.

Global recovery

He said the rescheduled event will focus on the global recovery of the cruise sector and opportunities this will provide for travel agents and industry stakeholders.
