Viking opened bookings for additional departures on Nile River vessel Viking Hathor, set to debut in 2024.

The company said demand for Egypt remains strong, with its 2023 season sold out and some sailings into 2025 already selling out.

'One of our most popular destinations'

'Egypt continues to be one of our most popular destinations,' Viking Chairman Torstein Hagen said. ' ... With the addition of the Viking Aton this summer and the Viking Hathor next summer, we are looking forward to meeting the growing demand in the region.'

Viking Hathor will sail the 12-day 'Pharoahs & Pyramids' itinerary.

Sister of Viking Aton and Viking Osiris

The 82-passenger vessel is the identical sister of Viking Aton, set to debut this August, and Viking Osiris, which was named in 2022 by Viking’s first ceremonial godfather, the 8th Earl of Carnarvon, whose great-grandfather discovered Pharoah Tutankhamun's tomb.

All three vessels are from Cairo's Massara shipyard.
