She's responsible for driving the brand’s sales strategy, and trade support and services throughout the Americas.
Athanasiou has been VP sales, reporting to Ritzenthaler since December when she moved from sister brand Silversea Cruises, where she was SVP sales for the Americas.

Athanasiou has more than two decades of cruise industry experience. Before joining Silversea in December 2021, she had been chief sales officer at Norwegian Cruise Line until leaving in June that year. Earlier, she was VP corporate, incentive and charter sales at Prestige Cruise Holdings.
She also had a year in charter sales at Royal Caribbean International and spent six years in sales at Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
