Following robust bookings growth in the region, Norwegian Cruise Line promoted Damian Borg to director of sales strategy and operations for Asia Pacific.

The company also promoted Angela Middleton to director of field sales for Australia and New Zealand.

Borg was formerly director of sales AU/NZ and Middleton was senior manager sales AU/NZ.

Recruitment under way

The company is recruiting for a field sales person to be based in South Australia covering that state and Western Australia and a business development manager for New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

With these additions the Australia-based sales organisation will have grown 40% since 2019.

Strong start to 2024

‘The first quarter of this year saw some of the strongest ever consumer demand for cruise and we are delighted with such a strong start to 2024, surpassing last year’s bookings during the same time period,’ VP and MD APAC Ben Angell said.

‘This is greatly attributed to our incredible team and strong trade partnerships capitalising on the rise in cruise demand and NCL’s extensive product offering around the world,’ Angell said.

‘With Damian and Angela now taking on expanded roles within the organisation, I am confident we will achieve continued success in meeting and exceeding the needs of trade partners and customers across Asia Pacific.’
