Regent Seven Seas Cruises expands Australasia team

Gillian Seller, director of sales Australia and New Zealand for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, welcomed four new members to her team to support travel partners across the Tasman.

Seller said the appointments reaffirm the company’s continued commitment to growing its local presence.

Scott Graham is a new business development manager, along with Christine Yatridis. Lauren Bevan is the new sales coordinator and Suzette Yu is business development executive.

Scott Graham

Graham, who has more than 13 years’ experience in the luxury cruise market, is based in Sydney and will support travel agents in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Christine Yatridis

Yatridis, with more than 30 years in the travel industry, is based in Melbourne, and responsible for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Lauren Bevan

Bevan, with a background in reservations and sales and marketing for a boutique river cruise line, will support the sales team in Sydney.

Suzette Yu

Sydney-based Yu will support the sales teams in Australia and New Zealand.

Wendy Barron

Wendy Barron (nee Collins), who has been on maternity leave, has returned as business development manager New Zealand.

‘By adding more sales professionals on the ground in Australia and New Zealand we are enhancing the support we offer to our network of travel advisors who will benefit from their energy, innovative  ideas, collective expertise and diverse industry experience,’ Lisa Pile, VP Australia and New Zealand, said.

Helen Hutcheon did her cadetship on a shipping magazine and worked in P&O’s Sydney office for seven years as a public relations journalist.

For 19 years she was deputy editor of Travel Week, which was Australia’s leading trade newspaper that covered major local and international industry events.

In 2008 the late legendary Rama Rebbapragada presented her with an award from Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd ‘in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the cruising industry.’

In 2010 she won the Neil Frazer Award for ‘outstanding contribution to the cruise industry,’ elevating her to CLIA Australasia’s hall of fame.

She has been the Australasia correspondent for Seatrade Cruise Review since 1997 and for Seatrade Insider (now Seatrade Cruise News) since its launch in 2000.
