Swan Hellenic continues to grow its presence in the region with the appointment of Brigita Devries as Pacific general manager.

Devries formerly was Dream Cruises’ VP sales and marketing Australasia

Her hiring follows Julie Jones taking up the role of Swan Hellenic’s business development manager Australasia in September.

Cruise Online appointment

Early last year Swan Hellenic appointed Cruise Online, an arm of Aviation Online, as its representative in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

CEO Andrea Zito said the partnership with Cruise Online was part of Swan Hellenic’s long-term vision to establish a presence in strategic markets around the world.

Zito said Cruise Online’s extensive professional travel and airline experience would provide trade partners the opportunity to offer combined cruise and fly packages.

Devries will report directly to Alfredo Spadon, Swan Hellenic’s SVP global sales and marketing.

‘We’re absolutely delighted to have Brigita onboard,’ Spadon said.

Perfect choice

‘Her track record for combining innovative strategic thinking with a truly caring customer and trade focus make her perfect to advance our market position as a unique brand in Australia and New Zealand,’ Spadon said.

‘Joining Swan Hellenic is a privilege and pleasure,’ Devries said.

‘Everyone in the open and dynamic team is driven by a passionately uncompromising focus on taking this iconic, pioneering brand forward into the next phase of its future,’ she said.

‘I look forward to bringing some fantastic developments to trade and customers in the coming months.’
