Friday 10th November, London (UK) – As key industry stakeholders get ready to meet at Seatrade Maritime CrewConnect Global later this month (21 – 23 November 2023), they will be joined this year by cruise industry experts as the Cruise Breakout Forum makes its eagerly anticipated debut. 

Taking place on Tuesday 21 November, the Cruise Breakout Forum will bring together experts including leaders from Ocean Technologies Group, Holland America Lines, MSC Cruises, Qatar Airways, ATPI Marine and more for a morning of insightful discussion. According to the CLIA State of the Industry Report 2023, global cruise capacity is expected to increase by 19% between 2022 and 2028, which means  recruiting, retaining and maintaining crew wellbeing onboard will continue to crucial in supporting industry growth. 

A total of three talks will take place during the Cruise Breakout Forum, including:

As the industry is facing staff shortages all round and issues recruiting the right staff, this session asks how you can alter your recruitment processes to recruit the right talent for you and where you should be looking.

As the industry evolves and the expectations of the next generation workforce shift, it becomes imperative to adapt to the changing landscape. This session will delve into the crucial aspects of crew retention and understanding how to facilitate long-term commitment. 

ATPI Lunchtime Session: Achieving Significant Cost Savings in the Crew Rotations for Cruise Ships 
In the dynamic world of maritime crew changes, cost efficiency is the name of the game. This panel discussion will chart a course through practical strategies and best practices to trim expenses while maintaining the utmost safety and efficiency. From real-world examples to innovative solutions, discover how to make every crew change a cost-efficient voyage.
