Celestyal Journey is set to debut in September following a €20m refit in Piraeus
Celestyal Cruises detailed the dining, wellness and entertainment facilities planned for Celestyal Journey, set to debut in September.

The ship is undergoing a €20m refit in Piraeus. Built in 1994 as Ryndam for Holland America Line, it more recently operated as Pacific Aria for P&O Cruises Australia and was acquired in 2020 by Seajets' Marios Iliopoulos before being sold on to Celestyal.

Greek grazing to grilled food to Asian dishes

Among Celestyal Journey's seven restaurants there will be moonlight dining in Thalassa, daytime Greek grazing in Fig & Honey and fresh Mediterranean bites at Smoked Olive. Diners can head further afield with everything grilled at Grill Seekers or select from an Asian-inspired menu at Pink Moon.

In addition, travelers can learn from the ship's kitchen gods at the cooking demonstration area or go full star treatment with a private dining experience at the new Chef’s Table.

After a gastronomic adventure, passengers can sip and stargaze with champagne and cosmic cocktails at the new Fizz Club, savor the old and new world at The Grapevine Wine Cellar and relax to mellow piano tunes at the Blue Bar & Lounge.

Sozo Experience

Celestyal Journey is elevating the line’s Mediterranean style rest and relaxation offering with the Sozo Experience, an entire deck inspired by the ancient Greek tradition of sozo, or wellness.

Travelers can work out in the ship’s fitness area with a wide range of equipment from cardio to weights and a dedicated fitness instructor or exercise outdoors on the tennis and basketball courts and jogging track. Further facilities include a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and the Dream Den relaxation area.

Passengers can get pampered at the new Sozo Spa or indulge in a beauty transformation at the new Glow Bar.

Beach Club

Suite guests, including those in Celestyal's first penthouse with private terrace, the Stargazer Suite, have access to the Beach Club, a secluded and tranquil outdoor space with ice cream stations and juice corners.

When it comes to entertainment, live shows will be staged in the two-deck Amphitheatro, and there will be live music throughout the ship, cooking workshops and lectures. Celestyal Journey has a range of activities and facilities to keep children entertained, too, from a Kids Club to arcade games.

Additionally, the ship provides two fully equipped conference rooms which, along with the multipurpose Amphitheatro, make Celestyal Journey a choice for meetings and incentive trips.
