Emerald Cruises, part of the Scenic Group, released three new special interest and two ‘epic’ cruises for its 2022 European River Cruise collection.

Two of the special interest cruises focus on the arts, culture and spas of the Rhine and Danube and a third traces historic wine-making on the Moselle River.

Tea with Slovakian family

The eight-day ‘Danube Spa, Arts and Culture’ cruise sails from Budapest to Passau on July 21, 2022. Highlights include a traditional spa experience in the Hungarian riverside town of Szentendre, afternoon tea with a local Slovakian family in Bratislava, a visit to the Kunsthistoriches Museum in Vienna, a hike through Austria’s wine-producing Wachau Valley and a photography tour in Linz.

Eberbach Monastery

The eight-day ‘Rhine Spa, Arts & Culture’ cruise sails from Mainz to Basel on June 26, 2022, to Rudesheim, Koblenz, Mannheim, Rastatt, Strasbourg and Breisach.

It features a ‘philosopher’s walk’ in Heidelberg, a relaxing spa day in Baden-Baden, a visit to Eberbach Monastery in Eltville, a photography tour of Strasbourg and another day of relaxation at Caracalla Spa with its 12 thermal springs.

800 years of viniculture

The eight-day ‘Wines of the Moselle’ cruise sails from Mainz to Bernkastel on August 21, 2022, calling at Wiesbaden, Rudesheim, Koblenz, Cochem and Trier, uncovering more than 800 years of viniculture.

The longer 16-day ‘Treasures of the Danube River’ epic cruise departs June 10, July 1, October 7 and October 22 from Munich to Bucharest and visits five capital cities.

Longer time in Europe

The 23-day ‘Rhine, Main & Danube River’ cruise from Amsterdam to Bucharest on June 4, 2022 combines the 15-day ‘Splendours of Europe’ cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest with the nine-day ‘Enchantment of Eastern Europe’ cruise from Budapest to Bucharest.

Early bird savings

Emerald Cruises, which operates eight Star-Ships in Europe, as well as one in Southeast Asia, is offering substantial earlybird savings across all 2022 European river cruises.
