Resorts World Cruises claims to be the first international cruise line to homeport in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Resorts World One will sail from there during the school holidays, June 16-July 1, offering four round-trip five-night cruises to Singapore and Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur).

Fares start at IDR 10m ($64) per person based on twin sharing and, subject to availability, third and fourth passengers in the same cabin go free.

Sailing from home

'Indonesians are familiar with the Resorts World Cruises brand sailing out of Singapore and now they can sail with a round-trip cruise from Jakarta to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur on the Resorts World One,' Resorts World Cruises President Michael Goh said.

Travelers can embark from the port of Tanjung Priok in Jakarta with the maiden voyage on June 16 (Sunday) followed by departures on June 21 (Friday), June 26 (Wednesday) and July 1 (Monday).

The ship will serve a variety of Muslim-friendly cuisine, including authentic Malaysian and Singaporean dishes, as well as a wide spread of international selections during sea days. Singapore is one of the top destinations for Indonesians, while Kuala Lumpur provides a variety of attractions.
