Australia’s Scenic Group hosted a reception for trade partners and media at Ivy in Sydney on Monday night to officially celebrate subsidiaries Emerald Waterways and Emerald Yacht Cruises going under the single brand, Emerald Cruises.

Guests were shown a new video of the company’s super yacht, Emerald Azzurra, which successfully completed sea trials in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, this month and will make her maiden voyage on January 28 with a ‘Best of the Red Sea’ itinerary.

They were also briefed on Emerald Cruises’ second super yacht, Emerald Sakara, which will join the fleet in 2023, operating Black Sea and Indian Ocean itineraries.

Growing global fleet

‘We are proud to be growing our global fleet and creating a new class of luxury yacht cruising,’ Anthony Laver, group general manager sales & marketing Australasia, said.

Angus Crichton, director of sales, marketing and product for Emerald Cruises, said the video revealed just some of the superb features of Emerald Azzurra and what it will be like for the 100 passengers.

‘There is truly nothing like it,’ Crichton said.
