Le Jacques-Cartier, which will operate a maiden season in the Kimberley this year, will return in 2025
A Ponant spokeswoman said bookings for the 2024 Kimberley season have been strong since the company introduced inclusive flights and transfers for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

The all-inclusive flights and transfers offer for all 2024 Kimberley itineraries covers return economy flights from major Australian cities, as well as Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, with seamless return airport transfers in Darwin and Broome.

Opportunities to upgrade to business class apply to passengers booked in select cabins.

Le Jacques-Cartier’s maiden visit

The spokeswoman said the inaugural arrival of Le Jacques-Cartier, which is joining Le Soléal, is also driving interest as she will be one of the newest and most modern ships in the Kimberley region this coming season.

Mostly domestic passengers

She said around 86% of passengers booked for the 2024 season, which runs from April to September, are from Australia and New Zealand, with the other bookings split between Europe and North America.

Le Jacques-Cartier, which carries 90 passengers, will rejoin the 132-passenger Le Soléal for the 2025 Kimberley season between May and September.

The ships will operate 18 departures of 10-night ‘Australia’s Iconic Kimberley’ itineraries between Broome and Darwin.
