P&O Australia appoints Katie Malone as marketing director

Katie Malone joined P&O Cruises Australia as marketing director.

Malone will report to Carnival Australia Chief Commercial Officer Kathryn Robertson, who joined the company last November after three decades in the aviation industry, most recently as group GM sales for Air New Zealand.

Airline and hotel experience

Malone has had 20 years’ experience in the tourism industry and has worked for Singapore Airlines and a number of hotel companies, including the Langham Hospitality Group and Marriott International.

She most recently was with the Crystalbrook Collection of hotels.

She said it could not be a more exciting time to be working with P&O Australia and looks forward to repositioning the brand to appeal to a wider audience, enticing more Australians to consider cruising as ‘a fun and affordable holiday choice.’
