Open to 68 travelers, the trip spans three continents, 10 countries and four Uniworld Super Ships.
The second annual 'Rivers of the World' is back by popular demand, according to Ellen Bettridge, president and CEO, Uniworld, who said customers are planning to travel more and seek longer trips that can cross off bucket destinations in one journey. The 2024 iteration will provide a longer, farther-reaching itinerary.
Begins in the Peruvian Amazon
It begins in the Peruvian Amazon with a celebratory beach kick-off party and land stay at the renowned Country Club Lima Hotel, followed by a weeklong cruise aboard one of the two river vessels, Aria Amazon or Aqua Nera. Participants will continue with a land stay at the Tambo del Inka Hotel in the Sacred Valley to visit Cusco and Machu Picchu.
Two exclusive hotel stays will complete the South America portion of the trip: Belmond’s Hotel del Cataratas to visit Iguazu Falls from both the Argennian and Brazilian sides and a night at the Belmond Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro.
Cruising the Rhine, Main and Danube, then Burgundy and Provence
Next the group flies to Amsterdam to cruise the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers aboard Beatrice, traveling through four countries over 16 days. A private Mozart and Strauss concert in Austria is featured.
After that travelers will head to France and embark Catherine for seven nights of indulging in the fine wine and cuisines throughout Burgundy and Provence, along with an immersive art and music experience at Carrières des Lumières.
Vietnam and Cambodia
Capping the trip, the group will head to Vietnam and stay at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi before commencing an overnight cruise in Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They'll then visit Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom in Siem Reap, Cambodia, with a candlelight dinner at the 10th-century Kravan Temple before embarking on Uniworld’s Mekong Jewel.
This fourth and final cruise will disembark at My Tho, where travelers will transfer to The Park Hyatt Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City for their final land stay and grand finale gala dinner event at the rooftop Chill Skybar with spectacular views of the Saigon skyline.
