Carnival expands Europe sailings in 2024

Carnival Cruise Line will expand its Europe program in 2024 with 17 sailings on Carnival Legend.

Once the 2024 Europe season is completed, Carnival Legend return to the US at its new homeport, Tampa.

'This extensive series for 2024 offers an excellent variety of itinerary lengths and options for our valued guests who want to experience Europe ... aboard a Fun Ship,' Carnival President Christine Duffy said.

Carnival Legend’s European series begins with a 12-day trans-Atlantic cruise from Baltimore on April 15, 2024 with calls at Ponta Delgada (Azores), Portugal; Málaga and Valencia, Spain.

Three homeports

In Europe, Carnival Legend will sail from Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Dover.

Among the offerings is an eight-day Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona on May 30 that calls Malta, Messina (Sicily), Naples, Civitavecchia, Livorno and Toulon.

A nine-day British Isles cruise departs Dover on June 28 for Holyhead, Wales; Greenock (Glasgow), Belfast, Liverpool, Dun Laoghaire (Dublin) and Cobh (Cork).

Other options include a 12-day Iceland sailing from Dover that also visits Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, and a 10-day Greek Isles cruise from Civitavecchia that also calls at Turkey and Italy.

Carnival Legend will sail Europe throughout the summer season and into the fall, departing Civitavecchia on Oct. 26, 2024, bound for its new Tampa home. Ports on the crossing are Cartagena, Funchal (Madeira), Ponta Delgada and Nassau.

Carnival Glory

In addition, Carnival Glory will sail a 14-day trans-Atlantic voyage on April 18, 2024, that visits European destinations including Valencia and Las Palmas (Canary Islands) before arriving to its new home at Port Canaveral.

Following 2023 Europe cruises on two ships

Carnival Pride will soon begin 2023’s series of more than a dozen European cruises from May through October with departures from Dover and Barcelona. In addition, trans-Atlantic crossings for Carnival Freedom were added to the 2023 schedule, with voyages between Port Canaveral and Barcelona set for the fall.
