Ponant released details of its 30-passenger boutique expedition motor yacht in partnership with Paspaley Pearls.

Paspaley Pearl by Ponant is the former Island Escape that was operated by the collapsed Island Escape Cruises.

Year-round sailings

She will commence year-round sailings in the Kimberley, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea in June next year.

Ponant Chairwoman Asia Pacific Sarina Bratton said the launch of Paspaley Pearl by Ponant ‘marks a milestone in the development of boutique expedition travel.’

‘Sharing the routes that my crew and I pioneered in the 1970s on board our pearl luggers will provide wonderful opportunities for guests,’ Nicholas Paspaley said.

‘An in-depth immersion into and understanding of the pearling industry will enrich many,’ Paspaley said.
